New Sneeze Research From MIT's Bourouiba Group
- Each sneeze contains over 40,000 droplets.
- A turbulent cloud carries large droplets (green) and smaller droplets (red) through the air for up to 25 feet for a sneeze and 19 feet for a cough.
- Droplets stay suspended for up to 10 minutes — travel far enough to reach someone at the other end of a large room.
- They travel high enough to reach the ceiling ventilation system.
- Once in the ventilation system, the droplets are spread throughout the home.
- Each droplet contains Bacteria, Viruses and Pathogens!

According to the EPA, most cleaning supplies and air fresheners contain Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which emit gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short term and long term adverse health effects.

- Mold is a Fungus that lives in the soil, on plants, and on dead or decaying matter.
- Mold produces tiny spores to reproduce, which can become airborne.

- Spores are the reproductive element of certain microorganisms.
- Spores are generally dormant and can survive for long periods of time, sometimes years, and are very difficult to kill!
- Spores generally are not killed by most disinfectants!
Dust Mites
Dust mites are tiny microscopic relatives of the spider that live on mattresses, bedding, pillowcases, upholstered furniture, carpets and curtains.
Dust mite's fecal waste is an allergent with symptoms ranging from mild to severe. A mild case of dust mite allergy may cause an occasional runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. In severe cases, the condition may be ongoing (chronic) resulting in persistent sneezing, coughing, congestion, facial pressure, or severe asthma attacks.
